Day 1: A Warm Tanzanian Welcome

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

Touch down in Tanzania and feel the warmth of Africa. After clearing customs, you’ll be greeted with a smile, fresh juice, and fragrant flower garlands by your private guide. Enjoy a scenic transfer to Arusha, the safari capital of Tanzania, where you’ll relax and settle in at a luxury lodge surrounded by beautiful gardens and Mount Meru views.

Start your adventure with a drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its ancient baobab trees and large elephant herds. Enjoy a thrilling game drive and spot wildlife like giraffes, zebras, lions, and colorful birdlife. After a bush lunch, continue your game drive until evening, then unwind at your luxury lodge nestled in the wilderness.

Depart Tarangire after breakfast and drive toward the world-renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area. En route, enjoy a game drive and scenic views. Today, descend 600 meters into the vast Ngorongoro Crater — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places to see the Big Five in one day. Keep your eyes peeled for lions, rhinos, buffalo, elephants, and leopards. You’ll also encounter hippos, zebras, flamingos, and more. Enjoy a picnic lunch near a hippo pool before returning to your lodge.

After breakfast, drive to the Serengeti via the historic Olduvai Gorge — the cradle of humankind. Explore the museum briefly, then continue to the Serengeti where the plains stretch to the horizon. After a short rest, enjoy a game drive in search of big cats and plains game before arriving at your luxury tented camp.

Rise early for a once-in-a-lifetime hot air balloon safari over the Serengeti (optional but highly recommended).
