Giving Back to Our Communities
At King of Africa Safaris & Trekking, we believe in giving back to the communities that share their homeland with us. Our commitment to community support is deeply rooted in education, environmental sustainability, and essential infrastructure.
We invest in the future by providing scholarships, school supplies, books, and financial assistance to local children, students, and environmental groups.
Our Key Initiatives Include:
Tree Planting for a Greener Future
We donated 3,000 trees to primary schools in the Arusha Region, with 500 trees planted by students on the first day. This initiative not only benefits the environment but also helps children understand the importance of trees and teaches them practical skills in planting and conservation.Improving School Sanitation
We built modern flushing toilets for students and teachers in primary schools across Moshi and Arusha. The new facilities replaced outdated pit latrines and were constructed through a collaborative effort involving local materials and labor.Supporting School Sports
We have supplied various schools with essential sports gear such as balls, shoes, and socks—encouraging physical activity and team spirit among students.
We are grateful to our clients whose support has made all of this possible.
Ongoing Projects and How You Can Help:
If you’re interested in contributing, we can help coordinate gifts or donations such as school jerseys, sports equipment, educational materials, and classroom furniture. Our focus areas include:
Providing education materials, classroom furniture, and sports equipment.
Constructing new classrooms, toilets, and teachers’ houses.
Supporting teacher training programs.
Clean Water for All – A New Mission
Our current community project focuses on providing clean water to underserved villages in the Arusha Region. We plan to drill boreholes in several communities to ensure safe and accessible water. We are actively seeking donations and support from individuals, sponsors, families, and friends to help bring this vision to life.
The TanWater Foundation
The TanWater Foundation is a non-profit organization affiliated with King of Africa Safaris & Trekking. It supports vulnerable rural communities in Arusha and neighboring areas by addressing critical needs such as clean water, shelter, food, education, medical care, and sanitation. Operations are led by Ms. Catherine Mwega, a dedicated Tanzanian overseeing all project coordination.
