ITINERARY
Day 1: Arrival
Meet & Greet upon arrival at Kilimanjaro Airport (Need flights details??), drive to Arusha for dinner and overnight stay at Arusha Planet lodge or Mount Meru Hotel.

Day 2: Arusha-Forest camp
Will pick you from the hotel and depart Arusha at 8:00 AM and drive to Londros Gate to obtain permits from, today you will trek to Forest Camp where you will have dinner and overnight (3-4 hours of trekking). (2,650 M)

Day 3: Forest camp-Shira camp 1
Trek from Forest Camp to Shira 1 Camp, 4-5 hours of trekking, where you will have dinner and overnight. 3,610 M) Meal Plan: (B, L, D)
Day 4: Shira camp 1-Shira camp 2
Today you have a 3-4 hour trek from Shira 1 to Shira 2 Camp where you will have dinner and overnight. (3,840 M)

Day 5: Shira camp 2-Barranco camp
From Shire 2 Camps, trek about 6 hours to Barranco Camp (3,950 M) for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Barranco camp-Karanga
Trek from Baranco Camp starting at about 8:30 AM to Karanga Valley, 4,100 M (about 13,325 Ft.) Today is your acclimatizing day and should be spent hiking at higher altitude. Followed by dinner and overnight at the camp.

Day 7: Karanga valley-Barafu camp
Beginning about 8:30 AM, trek to Barafu camp, 4,550 M (about 14,788 Ft), arriving about 12:30 PM. where you will remain until your final ascent to the top. You will be awakened at midnight.

Day 8: Barafu camp-Summit-Mweka camp
Shortly after midnight, arise and begin the final ascent to Uhuru Peak. You will then begin your ascent to Uhuru Peak, 5,896 M (about 19,620 Ft) about 12:30 AM and arrive at the summit at sunrise, about 7 AM. You will descend to Mweka Camp 3,100 M (9,300 Ft).

Day 9: Mweka camp-Arusha
Today it will be about 3-4 hours to reach the Mweka Gate where you can pick up your Summit Certificate. Drives back to Arusha and transfer to Arusha Planet lodge or Mount Meru Hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 10: Airport Transfer & Departure
After breakfast, we will pick you up from the lodge and transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport to arrive in time for your homebound flight or other destinations.

Additional information:
You should have a torch-a headlamp type is best, extra batteries, warm waterproof pants and jacket, warm clothes to layer, hat that covers your ears or even your face, gloves, warm socks and good climbing boots. Walking sticks are used by most, especially for the descent.
Be sure to bring lip balm and sunscreen and sunglasses or goggles. The glare for the snow and ice can cause serious sunburn.
You should only carry a day- pack with your camera, valuables, water, sunscreen, etc. In budget climbs, 10 kg of personal gear to be carried by porters is the allowed norm. (You need to combine your personal gear for porters to carry into one rucksack between you not exceeding 15-18kg weight) If you wish to bring more additional porters are needed, you will be charged for the extra expense.
Rental of gear or clothing: $5-10 per item per day. Please specify sizes.

TIPPING
Guides: $20 per day OR a group amount.
Cook: $15 per day, usually receives a bit more.
Porters: $10 per porter per day OR a group amount
(Tips is according to your budget & satisfaction). Can give more as you wish.

ADDITIONAL TRANSFERS BACK TO THE HOTEL FOR ANYONE DESCENDING EARLY IS NOT INCLUDED NOR IS EXTRA DELIVERY OF BAGGAGE ARRIVING LATE BEING BROUGHT TO MOUNTAIN AFTER THE CLIMB HAS COMMENCED.
IF THERE WILL BE ANY CHANGES IN PARK ENTRY FEES, GUIDE & PORTERS SALARIES WILL BE PASS ON TO YOU AT THE EARLIEST POSSIBLE.

- 2 L mineral water for the first day only and the balance is taken from the mountain and purified. You can bring purification tablets, a filter system or, the cook can boil water for you in the evenings.
- Services all camping equipment. (tents/mattresses/pillows/chairs/cooking utensils/sleeping bag etc).

- 2 nights Accommodation in Arusha (i.e. bed and breakfast)
